Shabbos Morning Minyan

Our minyan, located in a wing of Congregation Beth Sholom provides a warm Torah atmosphere catered towards former Bnei Yeshiva. We place an emphasis on a quiet, serious atmosphere during davening and debate and engagement during the Rav’s halacha shiur. We also have a weekly kiddush followed by a ladies shiur on the parsha given by Rabbi Davidowitz. Babysitting services are provided from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Shabbos. Also with our Shacharis davening beginning at 8:20 a.m. you can get an earlier start on your Shabbos day activities.

Amud Yomi

Our Amud Yomi shiur is a perfect mix of covering ground without sacrificing content. One amud a night four night a weeks adds up fast but since we only cover an amud in a 50 minute shiur it gives us time to delve deeply into the Gemara. Men from various learning backgrounds have attended the shiur and have enjoyed the engaging, in depth and often humorous style of our Rebbe. The shiur is given at Congregation Light of Israel in conjunction with their night seder program.

Halacha Shiur

Our Halacha shiur gives working guys the opportunity to continue to increase their knowledge of practical halacha. The shiur has already covered many topic such as hilchos Shabbos, Taharas HaMishpacha and much more. The shiur is given at Congregation Light of Israel in conjunction with their night seder program.

Ladies Mesilas Yesharim Shiur

Our weekly ladies Mesilas Yesharim Shiur has been a wonderful addition to the learning landscape of Rochester. Ladies from all age groups and backgrounds have flocked to the shiur and left with great Mussar inspiration for the upcoming week.
